Hi Marilyn here. I just got my book today, so will try to comment on it before the end of the week.
I just started a new job today and will be developing some training for them. It's a challenge to find work - - - even with the 20+ years of experience in curriculum development I have under my belt - - -without current technologies and hands-on experience with a variety of software. I am really hoping this course will help me gain some of that hands-on stuff. I have acknowledged that I have to return to school in some capacity to update my skills, and am counting on this course to help me figure out exactly what that training should be.
My thoughts so far . . . it's a little overwhelming the way jargon and references to apps and software packages are thrown out there by those of you who've been around technology a while :} I have come to really appreciate those comments that also contain a little bit of explanation or context so I have a clue what is being talked about.
Looking forward to getting to know some of you over the next few weeks and months . . .

Introducing myself to Potcert
Hi, I'm Marilyn Bader, and I live in Saskatchewan. I have been a curriculum developer with our provincial college system for over 20 years, and have done some multimedia projects. BUT I haven't done much online and consider myself a complete newbie. I am looking forward to learning a lot, and being able to ask you all a bunch of questions.
